Q&A by ShatteredVerse

Tue Feb 14, 2006, 4:23 PM
Here's what they say:

On 18th February at 2pm CST in Shattered Workshop
We are having a Q and A with *AdirianSoan a talented and friendly poet that has recently joined the ranks of shatteredwriters. This will be a great chance for everyone to ask those questions they have always wanted answered. *AdirianSoan has been writing since he was 10, that is 9 years of poetry and some prose writing. He has had experience in writing different poem styles such as sonnets, but prefers to create his own unique writing style instead of adopting a well known style. So come along to Shattered Workshop with your questions ready to ask or maybe just visit as an on-looker.

What I say:

Sounds interesting, eh? Maybe we should check it out

Edit: I have recieved the proper link, and the journal has been updated. The link should work now! :D

Q&A by ProsePlease

Thu Nov 24, 2005, 8:13 PM
ProsePlease is hosting another Q&A session. Here's the information we have recieved:

=ProsePlease is holding a Q&A with :angelles: Sunday 27th November 2005
Her featured work is Please take a look at Leaving Eden

=angelles, Angelles LaVeau was born in Lexington, KY but is currently living between Manhattan and Tampa. Her story is varied and interesting, and with a wealth of experience and talent she is well worth talking to.

Angelles loves to read, and sketches and writes everyday. Her other interests includes watching the NYY baseball games, chasing storms, hurricanes and tornados, modeling and studying Astrology and Astronomy. She is also currently engaged and getting married this winter.

She has a book of short stories and poetry that is also being considered for publication at present. Her first published work was an e-mag article for Namaste Journal called "The Goddess: Searching for the Feminine Face of God"

Angelles started writing Leaving Eden in the Atlanta Airport waiting for a flight to Dublin. The story of The Garden of Eden has always fascinated her and she likes to explore different views and opinions on Historical Fiction/Nonfiction. Her family being Creole, with deep roots in New Orleans, she grew up learning about the Snake Gods. Lilith was always associated with the Serpent in the Garden and Angelles just wanted to put a spin on one of the worlds oldest stories, told thru the eyes of the one who got the bad wrap. It has always been her belief that Lilith was GOOD, and a Goddess in Her own right. Leaving Eden just tells her story.

Please take a look at Leaving Eden

Monthly Favorites - November

Sun Nov 13, 2005, 5:46 PM
It's me, Sara

Ok, so here's my choice for the mothly favorite: Wedding Toast

And my Comment for it: This poem was written by one of my rl best friends. That didn't sway my choice though. There are so many great poems out there! I have plenty to choose from for next month, that's for sure. But for this month, I choose this poem. It has great meaning in it, and it's well written. It has that rhyme to it that makes it flow, and it has the theme that is easy to connect to. It does have a little odd pieces to it, but that only helps make it interesting and captivating. I've read it over and over many times, and I still enjoy reading it. It's on of my favorites that she has written, so I choose it for my monthly favorite here ^^

Hello, it's ~crazynloveless (AKA ~CrazyNotSoLoveless). I'm sorry this is delayed, I owe you all my apologies -- Better late than never though right?

My monthly favourite is: cashier by *SirMink.

I watched this poem grow through two stages, and its development was what you would expect of a poem. However, this piece stands out in its differences, it isn't a common or cliche topic at all, has a great use of parentheses (Which many poets fail at using properly or successfully), and to top it off, Mike uses a touch of humour that made me smile and laugh throughout the piece. Diversity is good, but good isn't always diversity. Well, this is both. Congratulations to you Mike, I enjoyed seeing the two versions - The final being a well polished, humourous piece. --Chloe

New Admins (The Second Half Arrives)

Sat Nov 12, 2005, 12:27 PM
Hi everyone! I'm one of the new admins (I guess that would work to call myself?) I was recruited to help out here and help keep this club up and in order. Hope I can do a good job here and help more than hinder ^^'

Ok then, so I guess I should give a little description of what I've been asked to do. I will be mending the journals and adding in all the special links and what not (Like to membership info, member lists, contests, etc.). So, you can expect to see those items linked in every journal from now on!

I've also been asked to welcome new members, so I'll be doing that via note and sending a nice little greeting on new members' front pages.

The poet of the month has asked to be started back up, so I will be trying to put that together and get that up and running again. So please members, participate! I don't want to have this go back down the drain again, I really want to do a good job here, and that requires you guys to help out, too!

I will also be helping in receiving submissions to post up in the club. I will be checking up on club notes and posting up poems sent that want to be posted in the club.

That's about it, or about it that I've been asked to do here. I hope I'll do a good job and you guys will accept me. I'm going to try my best!

In case anyone wants to know a little about me and what I am and what not, here's all that ^^' You guys prolly want to know you're admin, not just what she's gonna be doing, right? But of course!

I am female and a senior in High School. I go by the names of Sara (real name), Kirema, Jeslica, and Skooby. I'm easy to get along with and open to any suggestions and/or comments. I do all sorts of literature and traditional art. I tend to stick towards my poetry and florals with Prismacolors. I'm sure you can see that on my account if anyone visits. I'm active when I can be and involved in many clubs. I'm on almost everyday somehow, so I won't be hard to contact via dev if there are any messages anyone wants to send me. I do prefer to keep my IM messengers on the down low. I've had troubles before with having it open, so it's not open anymore unless I get to know you really well or someone I know asks me to add you to my list. I do have a tendency to get things started and not finish though ^^' I have many pieces of art half finished and most of my stories aren't finished. I have gained permission to have my fiancé come on and help out to. So if you guys spot a typo somehow made by me and come back and see it fixed later, that wasn't me, it was him. I'm a horrible speller! Lol. I do try though, and I'm getting better. A lot of times I'll just get ahead of myself and type something wrong or my brain will get ahead of my typing and I'll leave out words here or there. So bare with me if that annoys you, please. I'll do my best to spot mistakes and correct them as soon as possible. I'm also kind of crazy on the computer. I let myself run off on the wild spurts of hyperness and crazyness. So don't be scared of that either. I do go crazy and sound kinda odd once in awhile and just say stuff that doesn't make much since. The computer is my release, and I make it so very well ^^'

Anyways, I think that's enough for now. Any questions or comments for me, please leaves them here:

Much Love,
Sara ;p

The Second Half - The Other Admin - ~crazynloveless

Well, hello again PoeticParadise and all of its members! Any of the few original members will probably remember me, but any others might not know who I am, or what I'm about. No clue? Well no worries! 'Cause I'm going to tell you!

I am the original founder of PoeticParadise, and let me tell you it's good to know that I am needed again after figuring out various parts of my life and after a big move - I am now ready to provide my assistance again.

This brings up the ever questioned question (Lol.) - Why did you leave? I was asked to cover what I've done and where I've been since my departure by the current manager. So here goes nothing.. I left because these past few years have been really rough, and I had a lot to figure out in my life. When I created this place I was only 13 or 14 I believe, most likely the latter. So I wasn't really aware of what I was truly taking on, and I found that I never had time whilst I was trying to make things ok for me again. Well, things never got ok, but that's cool - I made a major move (Not my choice, but hey.. Haha.) back to England from Florida, so please make a note of the new time differences as to when I will reply to any questions or notes and such. Whilst gone I also developed a passion for law and a passion for philosophy too. At current I'm studying various aspects of law in order to attend Harvard later in life, as for philosophy - Well let's say I'm putting that to practice in an essay that could take me more than the next five years.

Ok, so that answers where I've been all this time, and why I left - But I forgot something. Who am I? What am I about? Well:

I'm Chloe, fondly called Chloe, Chlo, Cloey, and Crazy - The first three by most of my closer friends, and Crazy by the lazy ones in chats. Heh. I'm 15, and reside in Norfolk, England. (A small town off of Norwich to be precise.) I am in Year 10 (9th Grade to those in the US) and studying for my GCSEs. I am devotedly working on improving my poetry, and I have a wonderful professor helping me out. My style is maturing, and am glad to say such! Also, I'm devotedly and passionately working on my theory. I am a fairly withdrawn person in real life, but only about emotions and such. I'm an outgoing person in all I do, always willing to help and take on big projects. I am fairly oppinionated, and liberal about my opinions, as a good few are. I have a very much "Artsy" life. I take GCSE Art, and am constantly drawing things for my personal sketchbook. The theme for my personal one is book illustrations, I did that so I could draw anything and everything I wish. (Hehe.) I definitely prefer still life though, I write both poetry and prose; poetry being my main focus. I also sing and act a lot, as I am in GCSE Drama. I am currently single, and it is nice - The guys around here are all too immature. My favourite colour is red. My favourite band are probably still The Used, although I do love all sorts of bands and I have trouble picking just one! I'm not really sure what else to say, and when that point comes there is no use for rambling more often than not. So for now I will say goodbye.

If you have any questions please note me ~crazynloveless. I am online every day, and will probably respond within two hours of it being sent.
